Benito Mussolini was a socialist who hated militarism before the First World War, but during the war he became a nationalist. He alsoo joined the army voluntarily. After the war Mussolini started the fascist movement based on the Roman empire, because Italy was in a very poor state after the First World War. They had large debts and a lot of people were unemployed. The people of Italy wanted and end to the economic and politcal choas and they believed Mussoline could help Italy and solve the economic DEPRESSION.
FASCISM is an anti-democratic, totalitarian, violent and extremely nationalistic political movement. Fascism was also extremely RIGHT WINGED, because Fascism was al about strong order and authority and nationalism.
