The OPEC organization was put together in a conference in Baghdad by Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. They made the organization of OPEC to be a platform for oil producers to make their economic objective goals. This is an important event to us as citizens of the US because it gave us the opportunity to get our oil needs.
