George Washington was a commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and President of the Constitutional Convention. He later became the first President of the U.S.A. and was one of the Founding Fathers. Before his term ended, he gave advice to not get involved in foreign affairs because America was "too new" to be involved in a war.
