1969: Steve Renko, P, b. 1944 played Professional baseball from 1969-1983 winning 134 and losing 146 with a 3.99 ERA and 1,455 strikeouts. Renko graduated from Wyandotte High School and was a remarkable 3-sport athlete at the University of Kansas. He played quarterback in football for KU at the time Gayle Sayers was at the school in 1963. He averaged 10 points per game for the KU basketball team in 1964.
