The Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, said she was aware of the worries and concerns of the protesters, but would continue to amend the law. The Hong Kong government will continue to explain its work in this regard, enhance human rights protection and report regularly to the Legislative Council after the passage of the Ordinance.
