The Eureka Stockade was when many people from different countries and the states of Australia flocked to Ballarat or Bendigo to try their luck on getting gold. Some ended up poor and returned home but others were more fortunate and received gold, the Eureka Stockade an event in time caused a lot of controversy and lead to the miners burning their licences for the freedom to vote.
