Around 11:13 p.m., Fruita police officers and deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office were called on a menacing report. A woman told police her boyfriend had threatened her with a handgun, police said. The man allegedly failed to comply with unspecified orders, and police shot and killed him.
