Around 6 p.m., troopers were called by the Valencia County Sheriff's Office to assist with a stabbing scene and help locate a woman. While trying to locate the woman, a state officer reportedly saw a dark gray passenger vehicle driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to stop it, but the vehicle fled, and the trooper pursued. When the pursuit ended, the trooper deployed his Taser and shot at two men, hitting both of them. Ruben Deleon was killed and Alonzo Deleon wounded.
