Police received a call around 10 p.m. from a woman involved in a domestic disturbance that the man had a rifle. When officers arrived to the home, they reportedly spoke to Virgill Thorpe outside before he ran inside the house to grab the rifle and then pointed it at officers who shot and killed him.
