On February 27, 1991 Coalition forces entered into Kuwait City and engaged some Iraqi forces. The Iraqi forces couldn't match up against the coalition. They fled but there were some reports of them committing atrocities against Kuwaitis as they were leaving. George H.W. Bush declared that Kuwait had been freed.
