Beschreibung:

According to the Constitution, Poland was to become a constitutional monarchy, with a 2-chamber Sejm.

It was prepared in secrecy by king Poniatowski and Ignacy Potocki. Afraid of resistance from more conservative parties, they announced it at the Sejm during Easter holiday, when 1/3 of deputies were present. The country was from now on called just Poland.

Many absent members of the parliament supported the constitution afterwards
