3 Jan 1941 Jahr - Konrad Zuse Finishes the Z3 Computer

Beschreibung:

The Z3 was an early computer bulit by a german engineer called Konrad Zuse. When he was building the Z3, he was not influenced by any developments elsewhere but instead isolated them from his work. The Z3 uses 2300 relays, performs floating point binary arithmetic and has 22-bit word length. The Z3 could calculate aerodynamic calculations however it was destroyed during a bombing raid in Berlin in 1943. Moreover, Zuse decided to rebuild the Z3 and he supervised the reconstruction of it in the 1960's. This is currently displayed at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
