1 Jan 1933 Jahr - Telex Messaging Network comes online

Beschreibung:

Telex is a network of teleprinters, which is a electromechanical typewriter. They evolved from telegraph systems. This network was a new way of distributing military messages, at approximately 66 words per minute. It eventually spread all over Europe, and was the first of its' kind.
It could even be used for instant messaging, but was rarely used that way. They usually were used to print out tapes, and punch holes in them to distribute messages. They provided the first medium for international recording of communications. They connect the machines over voice telephone lines, instead of telegraph lines which were used by its predecessor. Wireless versions came after it, and were used to connect to remote regions of the world.
