1 Jan 1795 Jahr - David Davies, The Case of Labourers in Husbandry Stated and Considered

Beschreibung:

David Davies was an English clergyman who published The case of Labourers in 1795 in which he analyzed the changes he saw in the countryside. This change was caused by the new agricultural practices in England. Larger farms emerged which increased productivity and then further led to social repercussions. Common lands were enclosed by large landowners leaving small farmers to become landless laborers working for those larger farms and emerging factories. This has a direct effect on the Industrial Revolution for the time was all about production and new technology along with the social and ethical problems of working in a factory. Davies said that there were more negative results than positive for the fact that people would be forced to leave their country homes and run to the aid of welfare when left without jobs.
