This treaty was the end of the Mexican American War. It had Mexico recognize the Rio Grande as the Southern border of Texas. As well as the U.S. took former parts of Mexico like California and New Mexico (Mexican Cession). The U.S. paid $15 million and assumed all responsibility for claims of American citizens againt Mexico.
