2 Feb 476 Jahr - Odoacer introduced the Dark Ages of Europe by marking the end to the Western Roman Empire
Beschreibung:
The last of the Western Roman Empire royal lineage was Romulus Augustus, but failed the name of his ancestor, the founder of Rome, and took the title of the last ruler of Ancient Rome. Rome's skirmish with Byzantines was now deprived of resource and lacked their manpower and usual glory. Odoacer took this as his cue, invaded and trampled Western Rome. Upon his arrival of Rome Capital, he took the throne of Rome and proclaimed the title of King of Italy. He was second to Alaric the Visigoth, the only men that ever had Rome in their very clutches. Odoacer's elimination of half of the whole Roman Empire not only diverted the rivalled Germanic attention to the Byzantines, but also persented a new threat to the last "Rome" standing.
