20 Sept 1792 Jahr - National Convention
Beschreibung:
Since King Louis XVI attempted to escape his own nation to flee to Austria, the French people wanted the formal abolition of the monarchy, as the French Republic. This form of treason was not tolerated by the people, and even had to deal with a war with Austria. The abolition of the monarchy was the National Convention's first act, as well as the Decree of Fraternity. It offered French assistance to any people who wished to overthrow their government. This was important because it was the first assembly for an election of a party without distinctions of social classes, and would lead to the formation of radical revolutionary groups.
