The 19th amendment was passed by the US Congress on June 4, 1919. But this was finally ratified on August 18, 1920. This amendment allowed the women to vote, which ended the women's suffrage.

This was a very significant event in women's history becuase this amendment gave the women victory of the women's suffrage. The women in America had fought for the right to vote, and equality for about 100 years.
