Because Belgium is neutral, the allies were unable to enter Belgium and prepare for a defensive position. Germany brings westward army group B which was comprised of thousands of thousands of armored vehicles, while more than a thousand bombers, dive bombers and fighters fire upon the airfields of the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium and France. Nearly the hours after the attack Belgium permits the British and french to enter the country. Within the day most of the dutch air forces are destroyed and Luxembourg is conquered.
Meanwhile a flaw in the Maginot line gets exploited and since the french believe that the Ardennes forest in impenetrable the area has only been lightly fortified. Germany's army group A, (made up of 41,000 vehicles) including Panzers, armored cars, Spg’s and more pass through Luxembourg and into the forest.
