The Popular front was a Coalition by the Leftist groups in 1936. This front re-enacted many reforms that the Right tried to suppress. The Coalition was led by Manuel Azana. The Coalition groups included the Spanish Socialists Workers Party, Communist Party of Spain, Workers' Party of Marxist Unification, Republican Left, and the Republican Union. The Coalition was soon disbanded three years later in 1939.
