8 Jun 1895 Jahr - Theodore Roosevelt becomes President of the Police Commission
Beschreibung:
Roosevelt's main priority was to eliminate corruption with the NYC Police Department. However, the NYC population was not really a fan of him. One of his goals was to close down saloons. Most New Yorkers worked six days a week and the only place they could socialize at the end of the week was a saloon, so they were not happy with that. Therefore, he did not last long as commisioner.
