This affected spain, because it destroyed businesses and lost people their jobs, while Spain already had economic problems. this caused for public support of a new type of government and era for spain. there were two sides. The Left,and the Right. The Right was filled with the wealthy, and people who had property. The republicans were more moderdte than the Nationalists and Fascists. The people on the left wanted any economic mobility to get anything. The problem with the left was that they could not make one strong party.
