Curiosity was a rover that landed on August 6th 2012 with the mission of finding out whether Mars was capable of harbouring any life at all. It was equipped with a whopping 10 instruments and weighed nearly 2000 pounds (heavier than any previous rovers) yet could travel at almost the speed of Curiosity and Spirit which were both rovers lighter by around 1600 pounds. Curiosity was about the size of a small car and was also equipped with 17 cameras.
