Valdenia Camille "Val" Winn is a Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives serving since 2001. Since 1972, Winn has worked as a professor of History at Kansas City Kansas Community College after receiving her Doctorate of History from the University of Kansas in 1993. Born in Kansas City Kansas, Dr. Winn has served the needs of the people of Northeast Kansas City Kansas for decades. Beyond her service as representative, Dr. Winn was elected President of the USD 500 School board, and was elected to that board again in 2019.
