The Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) is a high-level, strategic document adopted by all
the councils in the Auckland region. The RGS sets a vision for how the region's growth
can be sustainably managed over the next 50 years. It aims to balance our social,
environmental and economic values to help ensure that Auckland in 2050 will be a good
place to live and do business.
