1. From this point on, the size of transistors halved about every two years, causing an exponential increase in the amount of processing power
2. Computers could vastly shrink in size, to the point where smartphones today are infinitely more powerful than the big clunky ones of the 70's.
3. This decrease in size and increase in power meant that computers would become very popular - these days, our smartphones are central to our daily lives and students at this school are expected to bring laptops every day!
