Aaron Burr challenged his political enemy, Alexander Hamilton, to a duel over alleged remarks. At first, Hamilton turned down Burr's request to fight. Burr talked Hamilton into it, and hinted he would not be playing by the general rules. Aaron Burr took the life of the first treasury secretary, Alexander Hamilton.
