25 Nov 1935 Jahr - Anti-Comintern Agreement Signed

Beschreibung:

The Japanese government signed the Anti-Comintern Pact which announced to the world that Japan strictly rejected the idea of the Communist faction called the Comintern.

This is important to Japanese expansion as this agreement legitimized the growing need of expansion within the Japanese government. It allowed Japan to openly claim Soviet land in Siberia and justify their war against the Russians during World War Two.

International Response: Japan began to align itself with the fascist powers in Europe, Nazi Germany and Italy, which began to stir tensions amongst democratic leaders of the fear of facism spreading across the world.
