I took out my Hilroy notebook to see what I needed to buy for my Christmas gifts. Hilroy is a Canadian company and thus doesn’t have to go through the different trade barriers of importing a lot of resources from different countries. Canada's forest products exports contribute $17.1 billion in net trade. Approximately 47% of the total forest product export value is from the following three key products. Thus, the globalization factor for the notebook is economic since money is saved using domestic resources.
