Iranians all around the country protested against the election results that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won nearly 63% of the vote. Both of his opponents as well as many Iranians felt that there was voting manipulation behind the scenes that allowed Ahmadinejad to win. Protesters were forcefully suppressed by the military.
