DV8 Physical Theatre was founded by the Australian dancer and choreographer Lloyd Newson in 1986 (Balme). It is one of the pre-eminent UK-based dance theatre groups. From 1995 until 2015, it produced fifteen works and several films. DV8 Physical Theatre was first staged in 1995, it was restaged in 1997 and 1998. DV8 Physical Theatre produce work for children. They came to Ireland in 2009 to perform ‘To Be Straight With You’ and ‘John’.
