When Santa Anna was told that they had Fanin and his men captured, Santa Anna ordered Urea to do the December 30th Degree. (Execute them all) Francita Alavez, is known as the Angel of Goliad. She was a Mexican’s solider’s wife, and she warned some Texans that they were going to be killed. Some got away others didn’t. After a week of being in jail. They pulled groups of people and took them in different directions and lined them up. The Texans had no idea what was going on! They thought they were getting jobs. Then the soldiers lined up and fired at them. Some fired over their heads because it felt wrong.
