The convention of 1836 was on March 2, 1836. There were 59 delegates attended. It was held at Wahington-on-the-Brazos. At the convention, the delegates discussed what would become of Texas and how that would affect their relationship with Mexico. They also decided on their provisional government along with the provisional president.
