Beschreibung:
(*The text doesn’t state James’ last name.)
In the New York colony, many people hated the way they were forced to live. So in 1683, an assembly was chosen. They passed 15 laws for New York, they got equal rights for English citizens, along with the right to elect their own lawmakers. Of course, the Duke (James*) wasn’t too happy about all of these new laws. He decided to get rid of assemblies overall.
