Before twitter got its catchy name it was almost named friendstalker. Founder Evan Williams thought of the name friendstalker but thankfully they thought of 'Twitter'. Many of the people working at Twitter thought the name "Friendstalker" would have been "too creepy" and eventually was no longer an option.
