20 Apr 1971 Jahr - Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg

Beschreibung:

As a result of the Brown v. Board of Ed. this case showed slow desegregation, and this system present in the case showed that there were about 14,000 black students that were in schools that went to schools which were 99% black, in North Carolina. The people involved included Swann, the parents of a 6-year old that wasn't allowed to attend his nearest school and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education. The major cause of this case would be the Brown v. Board of Ed as the desegregation that was outlined by this case did not include the speed at which it should be desegregated. An effect of this case would be the end of legal actions taken to integrate fully.
