Critical of quack medicine.
Stressed the careful observation of symptoms.
Dismissed value of dissections and Harvey's discovery as it did not help in treating patients.
Used bleeding methods, but advocated doing nothing and letting nature take its course.
Wrote "Medical Observations" which became a standard text book.
