Potts visits Stark as he continues to work on the arms and the flight stabilizers of his suit, apparently having tried to buzz him and get his attention because Obadiah Stane has returned from a Board of Directors meeting in New York. She has a gift for him, though he discards it.

Distracted with the suit, he tests the flight stabilizer, and once more he underestimates the power of the suit and is knocked back.

After recovering, he heads upstairs to find that Stane brought pizza and is playing the piano. Stane informs Stark that the Board is filing an injunction, claiming Stark has PTSD from his time in Afghanistan. Stark believes it's because the stocks dropped 56.5 points, which he says they knew was going to happen. In short, the Board believes Stark's change of heart isn't taking the company in the right direction, which Stark adamantly disagrees with, claiming doing so is the responsible thing to do.

Stark leaves the conversation with a piece of pizza, ignoring Stane's request to have his miniaturized arc reactor examined to please the Board.
