By 1948 all the countries that Stalin had installed his "sympathetic" governments into had communist governments. He had done this through his use of SALAMI TACTICS. This meant that Stalin slowly worked communism into the governments. The communists would join coalitions with other parties and appear to be working with the opposition. However, they would get rid of the opposition, some would be killed and others would all resign being replaced with communists. Elections would also be rigged.
