An American immigrant to Israel, Baruch Goldstein, was a member of Jewish Defense League. He walked in to Ibrahim Mosque at the Cave of Patriarchs in Hebron as he entered he opened fire at the kneeling worshipers. Killing 29 and wounding at least 125 unarmed Palestinians. After running out of ammunition he was beaten to death by a fire extinguisher by one of the survivors.
