Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will support Yoram A. Turbowicz as Attorney General.Sharon told the attorney general search committee that he supports Minister of Justice Joseph (Tomy) Lapid's candidate, Turbowicz.
Sharon met the committee before today's cabinet meeting. The search committee conferred with Lapid during the cabinet meeting. Lapid said he supported Turbowicz for the post.

The search committee will meet other candidates that it considers suitable. The search committee reportedly favors recommending Turbowicz, Deputy Attorney General Meni Mazuz, and IDF Military Advocate General Menachem Finkelstein for Attorney General.
