ENIAC was created by the USA's Ballistic Research Laboratory. It is the first electronic general-purpose computer. It could be programmed to complete complex sequences of operations and introduced vacuum tube technology. It also got everyone in- and outside of the computer science industry as a whole excited for the future of digital technology.
