Much like the Analytical Engine, Turing's unfinished machine still had the ability to lay more groundwork for code-operated digital computers in the 1900s. Alan Turing also called his machine an "a-machine", which meant it was automatic. Finally, the Turing Machine was able to prove whether or not a problem could be solved using computation.
