On August 14, the 13th GPU regiment and the 68th division on the border of Turkmenistan, encircling, split one of the rebel groups. Another group was blocked in the southeast of the peninsula. The rest were captured in the Barsakelmes area. As a result of the punitive operation, 196 rebels were imprisoned. Only small groups, escaping from the encirclement, managed through Turkmenistan to hide in Iran and Afghanistan. According to demographic scientists, the Kazakh diasporas in the North Caucasus, numbering up to 5 thousand people, in Turkmenistan are 90 thousand people and in Iran, 15 thousand people are descendants of those who had to endure genocide during the reign of F.
