Before this conclusion was drawn from the Fund for the Republic was revealed, blacks were always stereotyped to be biologically less intelligent than whites only because they are black. After this study was conducted and a conclusion was drawn, there were still people who believed in the stereotype and pseudoscience of the inferiority of blacks, but now there was actual scientific evidence to prove that black citizens were and are just as smart as a white person by default.

Despite it being something that black citizens knew before this conclusion, it gave the Civil Rights Movement more representation that they were intelligent, which further strengthened the Civil Rights Movement.
