7 Nov 1976 Jahr - United States and Papal Involvement

Beschreibung:

Support from the US and the Vatican was clear reactionary policy.

The United States continued its contemporary imperialism as a measure against the expansion of the communist sphere.

The Vatican supported these measures for similar anti-communist ideas.

Throughout the early 20th century, Argentina experienced large influxes of Europeans. After WWII, the Italian, German, and eastern European presence took stronger footing. Many sought to escape the horrors of Nazi control, and others sought to escape their incrimination in war trials.

This dichotomy in ethnological presence served to polarize political thought. Escaped Nazis served to radicalize the conservative front, while communists promoted the necessity to free the masses from repressive government.
