Beschreibung:
The Xia empire lasted from 2000 BC to 1600 BC. This legendary dynasty is under speculation from archaeologists and scientists alike. The Xia dynasty is mentioned several times in Chinese mythology, but never directly. Some sites match Xia cities in mythological texts, but they might be later constructions based on older designs. The Xia dynasty was an uncommon era. It was uncommon because, as said before, it was never properly documented. Not much is known about the Xia dynasty, but we know that it was the first dynasty. Furthermore, we know that Huang-ti, better known as the Yellow Emperor formed most of the Xia dynasty. He created a lot of Chinese culture still used today. He also created a strong government that would last until the end of the dynasty. Emperor Yao was the first formal emperor of the dynasty. During his reign, he ordered palaces to be built. As a result, small rural areas surrounding the palaces became developed as a result of traffic that came with the new infrastructure. The last emperor was Emperor Jie who lived from 1728-1675 BCE. He established himself as a dictator and was heavily disliked by his people. Over time, he was envied more and more until he was overthrown by Tang, who would later become emperor. Tang formed the Shang dynasty, which soon took over the Xia dynasty under Emperor Tang's rule.
