Is a scholar or ta'rikh, or history, and writes the first book of world history from an Islamic perspective, called "The History of Prophets and Kings." The book borrows some from the other Abrahamic religions, which the Qu'ran says not to, and thus has different takes on the Adam and Eve story than is taught in Islam.
