In Aladdin, Princess Jasmine feels trapped in her palace, and leaves disguised as a peasant. She, like Belle, resists the "most suitable" men, and instead falls in love with a homeless boy named Aladdin. During the battle with Jafar, Jasmine helps to defeat him by tricking Jafar into believing that she is romantically interested in him in order to distract him long enough that Aladdin can steal back to Genie's lamp.
