Most countries in the world in the UN today, with the exception of Kosovo, Taiwan, State of Palestine, Vatican City, Western Sahara, South Ossestia, Abkhazia, and Northern Cyprus. The UN headquarters is in New York City and they have meetings frequently to handle world matters and avoid violence. This is significant because the UN helps to avoid war at all costs and save the lives of many innocent people.
